Health Connection

In 1998, St. Joseph's/Candler and the YMCA of Coastal Georgia formed a partnership called Health Connection, which incorporates wellness and health promotion services provided by the hospitals into YMCA facilities throughout Coastal Georgia. Clinical staff from St. Joseph's/Candler maintains a physical presence at each of the YMCA branch facilities listed below. The staff from St. Joseph's/Candler provides services for YMCA members, including:

health screenings
education and counseling
health lectures
MD and SJC program referrals

Along with full-service exercise and fitness for adults, the Southside, Islands and West Chatham YMCA facilities feature The Children's Place To Be Fit, complete with children's exercise programs, child-size equipment and wellness programs for children.
