Training Steps

  1. Print both of the PDF Attachments on the right  

  2. View Activate America "We Can" Video

  3. Complete Quiz

  4. Complete required Redwood's CBT for "All New staff" and "your position"

     5.  Bring the completed Quiz & Certificates from CBT's and turn in to your Y supervisor

    6. Follow Instructions listed below numbers 1 & 2


Instructions:  

You are required to utilize the following two web address’ to complete online Computer Based Training.

 

1.    YMCA of Coastal Georgia:  www.ymcaofcoastalga.org

View the training video Activate America ''Health Seekers We Can" and successfully complete the quiz with a passing grade of 80% or higher.

      a.      Use the cursor and select the Careers tab.

     b.  Click the Training and Development tab - Complete the Health Seekers "We Can" Video and Quiz

     c.  Youtube link to video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAzZoOz9k-g

 

 2.    REDWOODS: http://firstnetcampus.com/Redwoods/entities/YMCA/logon.htm

Follow the prompts in order to sign in to the Redwoods training program. The first time you log on you will need to set up an account. Be sure to record the access code and password information for future use. In the event that you have forgotten your access or lost access to the email address, then you will have to start the new hire training, and/or annual training from the beginning.

After Accessing the REDWOODS Registration link:   

  1. Next Select the State of Georgia from the first drop down box
  2. Next Select the YMCA of Coastal Georgia from the second drop down box
  3. Next type in our access code: 001437

 

ALL NEW STAFF: Must complete all of the following CBT Core Courses. Click on Tab to access. Print certificate upon completion.

  • Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Child Sexual Abuse Prevention
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention

 

ALL YMCA STAFF HIRED AS DRIVERS:

  • Defensive Driving

 

ALL AQUATICS STAFF: Must complete all of the following courses. CBT is found in Youth Programs Tab, then Day Camp Safety

  • Aquatic Safety – Pools
  • Aquatic Safety – Natural Bodies of Water

 

ALL AFTER SCHOOL CARE AND DAY CAMP STAFF: Youth Programs Tab, then Day Camp Safety Tab

  • Day Camp Safety and Supervision
  • Day Camp Abuse Prevention
  • Program Safety
  • Trip and Transportation
