YMCA of Coastal Georgia Launches Priceless Gifts, its’ Annual Community Support Campaign
Funds Raised wil help residents of the Coastal Empire learn, grow, and thrive
Every day, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia serves as a gathering place for the community. Kids pour in after school to play and do homework. Seniors meet for luncheons, group activities and to connect with one another. Teens gather for programs such as Teen Achievers and learn valuable career and college readiness skills. Adults come to a place where they have the time to focus on their personal wellness and health.
To ensure that the Y can continue to provide Coastal Georgia residents with life enhancing services, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia is launching Priceless Gifts, its’ annual community support campaign.
As a leading nonprofit for strengthening community, financial gifts to the Y will help advance programming and services that locally support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. More importantly, gifts to the YMCA of Coastal Georgia make a direct impact on residents right here in the Coastal Empire.
Last year, financial support made it possible for kids to have a safe place to learn and build confidence after school; for families to reconnect and grow together; and provide individuals access to education and training to help them reach their full potential.
“We all need the Y because our organization works every day to nurture the potential of kids, improve health and well-being and help neighbors support one another,” said Rachel Meuser Bowman, Director of Development, YMCA of Coastal Georgia. “With our community support campaign, we want more people to understand that we are more than where to go to exercise or swim – and that we rely on their financial support to do our vital work.”
This year, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia hopes to raise $562,000. Funds raised will support a parent with after school care, enroll a pre-diabetic in the Y Diabetes Prevention Program, provide a child with swimming lessons, and give an individual the chance to begin their path to a healthier self. These are just a few examples of the many ways your gift can make an impact in someone’s life.
