HABERSHAM YMCA SUMMER DAY CAMP
Traditional Day Camp or our Specialty Camps at the Habersham YMCA share one thing: they’re about discovery. Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too!
During the summer months, the Habersham YMCA offers several aquatics programs such as swim lessons, swim team, water aerobics and life guard certification classes. At the Habersham YMCA, we have an outdoor pool that is open seasonally from May until September. We have a zero degree entry kiddie pool, spray pad play area, waterslide and regulation size swimming pool. Lap swim is available anytime the pool is open. Pool access is included with a YMCA memb
Our Mother’s Morning Out program provides an opportunity for children to laugh and play in a structured setting while growing intellectually, emotionally and socially. Children enjoy a warm atmosphere in which they have the opportunity to play and interact with our child watch kids.
Join the fun every afternoon in our licensed after-school program. We offer a variety of activities including arts & crafts, large and small group activities, snack time, swimming, field games, kid fit and homework time!
Our program is licensed through the State of Georgia.
Transportation is provided from Heard, J.G Smith and Hesse only.
With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the support they can get. That’s why child care at the Y is about more than looking after kids. It’s about nurturing their development by providing a safe place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The YMCA is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to swim or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the YMCA is about building the whole child, from the inside out.
