Youth Sports -- Winter Basketball 2015-2016

The Tybee Island YMCA offers several seasonal sports programs for children ages 3 and up. 

Winter Basketball is being offered through the Tybee Island YMCA & Recreation

Prices and times vary.

Winter Schedule: 

Registration opens October 5, 2015

Practices begin the week of December 7, 2015

Games begin the week of January 4, 2016.

The YMCA is a GREAT and affordable place to have a birthday party for members and nonmembers alike (price differences apply)! The skating rink will provide a great climate-controlled arena to host your child’s party. The festivities include games and music.

Rising TYde Community Food Pantry

The Rising TYde Community Food Pantry is a service made available to Tybee residents thanks to many sponsors, donors, and volunteers.  

Distribution is every third Tuesday of the month from 10-11 am & 6-7 pm

Visiting Tybee for a Limited Length of Time?

  • We have 45 Day and Three-Month Seasonal Memberships
  • Daily Guest Passes for $10/day or 7 visits for $40
  • Guests of members may visit with Y member for a daily rate of $5
  • Our association honors the A.W.A.Y. program! YMCA members from out of town are alloed 5 free visits per month to use at our facility.

Parents' Night Out

NOVEMBER 13, 2015 6-9PM

Parents’ night out is a great experience for children to interact with other children, while parent’s get an evening to themselves. We will be having free gym play, and a “G” rated movie. Dinner will also be provided for participants.

Teen Cuisine

Join the Tybee Teen Cuisine every Wednesday afternoon for a great time of food, fun and shared laughs.  Teens will learn cooking skills from the chef’s of Sundae Café and other local restaurants!  Learn proper slicing and dicing techniques, proper food safety and sanitation and how to cook recipes from appetizers to desserts.  Each week a new topic will be discussed and prepared, leading up to a final dinner to be prepared and served by participants!  This program is sponsored by the Tybee Island YMCA, Sundae Café and the Friends of
