The YMCA of Coastal Georgia is excited to launch our first Esports league! Esports is a competitive video game experience that allows individuals the opportunity to compete as a team in a fun, safe environment. Participants will develop important skills that they can utilize to thrive in all areas of life, including communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills in an individual or team environment.

The Esports Leagues are for participants in Grades 6-12, with middle school and high school ages divided separately. Each session will last 8 weeks, with participants meeting 2 times per week. Each day will include a short practice session followed by gameplay. Practice and gameplay will be led by a trained coach who will support participants in a wide variety of areas, including positive competition, team-building activities and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

Esports is a virtual option for youth to stay connected, develop new friendships and learn important life skills from the comfort of their own home.

  • NBA 2K (1 vs 1 format)
  • Super Smash Bros (1 vs 1 format)
  • Rocket League (3 vs 3 format)
    • Tell you friends to join!

Each participant will receive a shirt and a medal at the end of the tournament.
