CPR/AED/First Aid Certification Blended Learning Course: Portion of this course is online and then you take an in-person exam with an American Red Cross Instructor. You will receive a link via email for the online section of the course. This certification course includes CPR, AED, and First Aid from American Red Cross that is valid for 2 years.

Ages 16+

This is an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Course that provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in shallow water up to 6 feet and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. The class will be presented in a blended format – online coursework will be sent out via email 1 week prior to class start and must be completed prior to last day of class.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum age: 15 years
• Swim 150 yards continuously
• Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs
• Complete a timed event within 50 seconds: Swim 20 yards, submerge to a depth of 4 to 5 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and exit the water without using steps or a ladder.
